Over 500 iTunes files not present on Squeezebox Touch

Hello, all. My first post. I am close to computer illiterate, but I love music, and my buds over at AudioKarma.com convinced me to get the Squeezer. I have over 500 songs that are present on my iTunes Library. For some reason, they do not stream to my Squeezebox Touch. Can anyone help?

Are they DRM'd files? i.e. iTunes protected?
Did you do a full scan within LMS to find & catalog these songs?
If you go to Touch > My Music > Music Folder, are the songs there?

No, they are not on my Logitech Library. How do I know if they are "iTunes protected"? If they are, this kind of chaps my hide. I was sold on Squeezebox as being able to "stream my iTunes Library".

Yep, that's what the "p" is for in m4p. Apples unprotected AAC files have an m4a extension.

Okay, great (in a way)... I see there is software to unprotect. I'd like to be able to stream my protected files.... Does this software work?
