Peter Gabriel "Back To Front" tour

I hear Peter Gabriel is touring again playing all of "So", to celebrate 25 years since "So" was relased. Tony Levin included, amongst others.

...and I have to make sure we'll have some meetings in Fremont early October: he'll be playing in San Jose October 2nd - and no European dates yet :-(

    tempting...

Saw the original tour in 1987 - Gabriel crowd surfing during the outro of "Lay Your Hands On Me" is still one of the most spine-tingling moments I've ever had at a concert (especially an arena show). Tony Levin was great, but for me the knockout in the band was drummer Manu Katche - I thought I was hearing the reincarnation of Keith Moon on songs like "Red Rain" (with real acoustic drums instead of the processed electronica of the album cut, the sound thunderously builds and builds into the bridge...).

Unfortunately the closest show to me so far is the Hollywood Bowl, and that's still too far away, but maybe some additional dates will be added.

I too saw the original tour and as ours was Earls Court in London we had the bonus of Kate Bush coming out for Don't Give Up !!

Was an odd vibe at ours the audience stayed sat down till Kate came out but once up and jumping after that he duly "surfed the crowd" and returned to the stage minus much of his clothing.

Think yourselves lucky, no European dates at all !!
    What am I listening to?
