    firmware

    Hi,

I installed my "radio" today and at first I was very satisfied.
Now, a couple of hours later, I'm beginning to be disappointed with it.
My SB Radio has firmware 7.7.2 installed. Updated on initial installation of the SB.
Now, it starts asking to do an update to version 7.7.1 ??????? Hello..... Update? Downgrade they mean...
    How to avoid that?

    Any help would be great.

The messages always say "update" even if it is a downgrade. It's an annoyance, but something that SB users get used to.

The bigger question is why does it want to update/downgrade/change the firmware? Are you switching between mysqueezebox.com and Logitech Media Server (LMS) running on your computer or NAS? The SB player firmware version is matched to the server version, and generally mysqueezebox.com is running the latest official release, which is currently 7.7.2. If you have LMS 7.7.1 running on your computer, then you will get prompted for the firmware update/downgrade/change every time you switch between servers.

You only need to connect to mysqueezebox.com when your own LMS server is off, because all of the features available on mysqueezebox.com are available via LMS as well.

Upgrade your server to LMS 7.7.2 and add your mysqueezebox.com credentials to LMS ( there is a mysqueezebox.com settings tab ) then you have all your apps and internet radio this way to .
You may have to switch to mysb.com if you use the official spotify app , but there is a cure form that to use Triodes third party spotify app, which also works much better to.

Thank you for the support I've got.
Now I now what the problem is.

It seems the NAS (Synology DS212J) is still using the 7.7.1 version and that is the latest available.
I wonder how fast they will upgrade this to the latest version.

If that's the case then I recommend just working through LMS and never explicitly switching to mysqueezebox.com, especially as the server is a NAS.
