Anyone Have the bpa cdplayer plugin working on OSX?

I have read all the posts on this, including the 32 page thread and still can't get it to work. Like others I get the 'No CD in drive' message.

    My system is:
iMac with OPTIARC DVD RW AD-5630A
    Mac OSX 10.6.8
    Logitech Media Server 7.7.2
    CDplayer plugin (v1.08_7.3a)
    My hardware is a transporter.

I have tried all the 'select CD player' options and also set the server to start at login.

Would love it if a clean install steps were available.

What do you mean by "clean" - install should be just install the plugin from the LMS Settings Plugins tab and install the cdda2wav application.
What was different for you ?

The plugin is installed OK. Can you help at all on cdda2wav? Probably that's my problem, not installed or installed correctly. I'm not the most technical so I was having trouble following that part.

cdda2wav is OSX specific - the "danco lumpy" exchange here http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...l=1#post392033 is probably most suitable but I think that the "/usr/local/bin" location and whether it is on the "path" varies according to OSX version.

Yeah, I followed all these instructions with no luck. Tried both my iMac and Macbook pro.

I extracted it from xAct pkg and dropped it in /usr/local/bin

If that isn't correct, that's why I'm asking if anyone is successful. I see 32 pages of thread and can't find one person say they have been successful.

    It worked OK for Danco.

    Did cdda2wav run OK ?

Can it be run by the same userid as runs LMS ?

I think a code change is needed somewhere

    bpa,

I looked at a few more posts you had with Danco, and seems I am having similar issues relative to mounting. When a cd is in it appears in finder ( I guess that means mounted). The plugin shows cd player, but when I try it I get no cd and then cd no longer appears in finder. So I guess it is trying to mount the cd but can't. So if you can point me to what file needs to maybe have path or something changed would be great.

On cdda2wav I don't exactly know how to check and see if that is working. So I'll dig through those posts to find out.

    Thanks for the help.

OK seems my cdda2wav runs. I executed this and got a response. cdplayer still fails but I don't know what code to change or where.
