I have a Samsung "mock Blackberry" pda, and the fancy new skin of these forums won't render any more on that device. So is there some other url where one browse these forums in a lightweight manner on a pda?

You should be able to select a smartphone skin at the bottom of the page.
Doesn't this work for you either?

If it's a smartphone you could use Tapatalk. This forum supports it.

You'd see the default value, labeled "Slimdevices".

If it detects you as a mobile, it should place you in the mobile skin by default. At the very bottom of the page, you should see something that says "Full site", which will redirect you to the regular (default) desktop skin.
I've tested the forums on my Samsung Galaxy Tab and my Samsung Galaxy Nexus, both seem to work fine for me in the default browser, and in Chrome.
Does the firmware on your device support screenshotting, so you can show us what it is you're seeing?

Well presumably it doesn't detect me as a mobile, because it doesn't place me in the mobile skin.
I don't see the bottom of the page. The browser freezes before the bottom of the page is shown.
Well that's nice. But I have none of those devices. I have a Samsung "mock Blackberry" PDA (the one with a "keyboard") and it runs on Windows Phone v6.5
No. But even if it did, the browser shows just a white screen (the screen shot looks like this [ ] but bigger) and the page is "infinitely" long because there is a vertical scrollbar on the right, but no amount of "page downs" will move the slider to the bottom of the screen; also the phone has no "end" button...Regards,

If you are running windows mobile 6.5 you have most likely a Samsung Jack/blackJack phone. but still they are able to by id as a mobile device and get an option to use which format. you may need to see if an update is available for the phone or re-install windows 6.5.
I just used my Samsung Focus (windows phone) and it work perfectly.Last edited by Recoveryone; 2012-05-05 at 09:51.
