got it. I hadn't looked at this menu in a long time as I always use ipeng to sync. I'm back to my vortexbox appliance now (and no problems with sync). So in my case, it was clearly the dell laptop running LMS that was causing the problem. Nothing else was different. very odd.... (as that laptop is a fairly powerful modern laptop, running winXP). My couple of year's newer dell laptop running win7 did NOT cause any sync problems....

To what interval have you set the maximum drift (also in the sync settings menu)? The default 10ms?

Yep, sorry. I meant the OP. The logs show a pretty good sync and then the jiffies epochs get updated for both players.
This looks like either the server thinks it can't handle something or the time stamps are suddenly way off.
Best guess still would be that something is wrong with the server's clock.---

New logs
Please see attached logs:
These are all with the Boom (wifi) not synced and switched off. Only the ethernet attached SB3s are being used.
FYI MAC ending 77 is the Bedroom, 2B is Lounge and E3 is the Boom.
Server1.log
Boom disconnected
Lounge and Bedroom Synced
Maintain Sync OFF for both players
Server2.log
Boom disconnected
Lounge and Bedroom Synced
Bedroom - Maintain Sync OFF
Lounge - Maintain Sync ON
Server3.log
Boom disconnected
Lounge and Bedroom Synced
Bedroom - Maintain Sync ON
Lounge - Maintain Sync ON
Server4.log
Boom disconnected
Lounge and Bedroom Synced
Bedroom - Maintain Sync ON
Lounge - Maintain Sync OFF
It looks like the skips occur when both players are set to maintain sync. I don't know for sure but it seems like they're both trying to be the 'master' causing each to skip regularly trying to resync. And maybe its not designed this way and my clock is still the issue?
Any thoughts?
