I'm trying to get the Information Screen plugin to work on my Touch, LMS 7.7.2. Apologies if my queries are answered elsewhere but I couldn't find anything here or on the wiki. I seem to have two problems.
Firstly, the files always seem to get saved to the playlist directory, even though I changed the directory on the 'Various Settings' page.
Secondly, having installed the Information Screen applet on the Touch and restarted it & LMS, with a 30 second screen saver delay and selecting 'Information Screen' as the screen saver (is that the right thing to do?) the screen shows no text at all. If I create several screens I can find no way to select the one I want. What am I missing?
The next day when I started everything up, I did get a 3 line display on the Touch, but when I changed track the information remained the same. I can't see how to switch between different screens I might want to try, not how to get it to show current track data.

Information Screen on Touch

LMS 7.8 on VortexBox Midi, FLACs 16 or 24 bit. Touch on Ethernet (in another room), digital out to a Musical Fidelity M1 CLiC. Old wireless laptop running Linux Mint Debian controls server using Chromium. Squeezelite on Ubuntu & Windows desktops plus the laptop. Meridian Explorer USB DAC to listen directly to Vortexbox & other PCs as required. Spare Touch in loft!

What do you like to accomplish ?
I'm asking because I'm no longer actively maintaining the Information Screen applet/plugin combination because Custom Clock offers more or less the same functionality plus a lot more.
For Information Screen to work it's important to install both:
- The Information Screen plugin, in SBS/LMS Settings/Plugins in SBS/LMS web interface
- The Information Screen applet on the Touch, in Settings/Advanced/Applet Installer menu on the Touch.
I haven't tried it since 7.5 myself so it wouldn't surprise me if some of the changes Logitech have done in 7.6 or 7.7 has caused it to stop working.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

If you like completely different layouts of the screens you like to switch between, you probably want to create multiple Custom Clock styles and use the Screen Switcher plugin to switch between them.
If you like the same layouts but want to vary which textual information that's shown, you want to experiment with creating multiple items and setting the visibilitytime, visibilityorder, visibilitygroup parameters. You will find more information on the Custom Clock documentation page on the wiki: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.ph...m_Clock_appletErland Isaksson (My homepage)
