Squeezebox vs Squeezeslave

Hi folks,
I have LMS which came installed on a Vortexbox - and I previously had downloaded LMS for use with my Duet prior to the Vbox. The new LMS has a dropdown box in the upper right corner with the options Squeezebox and Squeezeslave. It's currently running Squeezeslave. This is a default - I didn't set it up.
I've learned not to mess with configurations which are working, so I hesitate to change this option to Squeezebox. What is the difference between the two? Where can I find more info - initial searches have yielded little.

Are you refering to the "Choose Player" drop down in the web UI? If so this is the player that will be used to play music selected in the web UI.
