Squeezebox Classic and Spotify

Sorty if this has been asked and answered before, but I can't find it if t has. Does anyone know how to set up a Squeezebox Classic, which I think may also be known as a SB3, to use a Spotify Premium account as a music source please?

Welcome to the forums. For the SB3 / Classic you need to be running Logitech Media Server (that is, you can't be depending on mysqueezebox.com) and you need to install Triode's unofficial Spotify plugin. See this thread for all the details: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showth...-Plugin-(Beta)

But isn't there an included app called Spotify core or something?

If you read the instructions on the official Spotify app you will see that it only works with the SB Radio and the SB Touch. Spotify streams require a special decoding that older SBs such as the SB3 cannot handle. Triode's unofficial plugin circumvents that limitation.

Also you need to have a Spotify Premium account to use Spotify with any SB.
