Those are still appearing on my Radio & Touch with the new firmware.
Tried rebooting the player? Sure your MySB.com info is still in LMS > Settings > MySB.com (maybe got wiped out on the update)?

Why suddenly another sound (less loud, only high whispering) and after a reboot (which the device also had by the update) the sounds seems to got back.
????

For the same reason at times we have all had to reboot our computers, routers, cable/sat boxes, cell phones, AVR's, etc... in daily life.
Sometimes electronic devices just need a kick in the pants.

There is some improvement done in change 9674 in the 7.8 branch regarding making the alarm less sensitive to use it's fallback and some other issues, but I don't think it's carried over to 7.7.x ?

What's not explained in that tread is that the sound effects comes from mysqueezebox.com so birds and train whistle etc is not built into the radio there just like internet radio stations .
so it's the same issue as when people gets disco when using a radio station for alarm .
And this forum is filled with treads about it .

Now they made a change to make it less sensitive to small glitches in Internet connectivity for 7.8 this will help in some cases, but not if you actually have a real issue with flaky Internet connection .

Maybe ,but I would be surprised if even logitech knows, and if they know it would change anyway an educated guess is 2012

That's pretty sad to not even address a concern from a customer

I don't know if these people at Logitech apply or not, but I've had good luck with getting contacts for senior company personnel by going to their "Investor Relations" page. Try digging around for email contacts that way. I've found "very high ups" when I had problems before (Garmin and Gateway) and ended up getting treated very satisfactorily.
