A friend of mine gifted me his Duet receiver, which I'm not trying to install. I've downloaded the Squeezebox server, it's running fine, but for some reason it cannot find the Duet receiver on the network. Is there a link with instructions on how to fix this problem? Thx

do you have the controller? Have you gone through "setup" on your network? Without the controller you'll need to use a software approach to setup the duet receiver on your network.
