After restarting my Windows Server 2003 R2 Sp2 for another reason I was taken surprise to see LMS not starting properly.
On investigation to the application event log I see this error:
FATAL: There is already another copy of the Logitech Media Server running on this machine. (Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.) at /<C:\PROGRA~1\SQUEEZ~2\server\SqueezeSvr.exe>Log/Log4perl/Logger.pm line 900
I was surprised because LMS is one of the most reliable bits of software I use and more so because I am unable to locate the conflict.
No such SqueezeSvr.exe is running, nor are any other processes using port 9000 (or 3483 & 9090).
I'm a bit stumped. Anyone else run into this issue?

As an update to my post I used netstat to prove that none of the ports associated with LMS were in use by any other applications.
I've tried to start LMS without any user extensions.
I have also re-installed LMS as well (to be fair this was clutching at straws).
I'm going to start closing all other port listening applications (as far as I can) to see if I can find a solution.
