Just wondering if there is an FAQ available before i go and ask some probably obvious questions?
Oh well i might as well do one
How can i shut the touch down at night? (i always unplug it)
There only seems to be sleep which i then unplug from which cant be good for the usb attached media

It sounds as if you are using the Touch w a USB drive attached directly to it ? If so it will then go through a complete rescan when it is plugged back in. It is not a power hog. If it were me I would just leave it on, although I realize you may not want to.

Yes that is correct I am using a flash drive.
Thanks for the links I already have the documentation downloaded.
Its summer and it happens to be where I sleep so the less heat the better
