I've had a go at running the LMS Nightlies on Windows 7.
r33899 works fine but the latest, r33899 doesn't produce any sound output from my Touch. Is this dependent on having 7.8 firmware (not available yet!) installed on the Touch? If not there is obviously a serious bug.
Gone back to r33899 and all is well again.
Thanks
Bob

There is an open issue in the (server side) player module which I haven't
been able to fix yet. It might be the reason why playback fails.
And thanks for the heads up: I've been working on a different issue this
morning which resulted in no audio output. Maybe I've been facing the same
issue, while trying to find the problem in my new code?... I'll revert
back a few revisions too.

LMS 7.8.0 - r33928 does not show my Controller (v7.8.0 r9702; which works fine btw) on the Web UI info page. It does still list my SP Player (v7.7.2-r9599M, no newer build available) which I have quit about 20min ago, , my two Radios etc, but not my Controller. I am still using MacOS X 10.6.8 on my 2010 MacMini.

No access to noCPAN "version"
Hello!
being new in this forum I am not sure this is the right place for asking this question, nonetheless: since a few days I am trying to download the unix tarball without CPAN libraries of LMS 7.8 but without success. The server responds with something like:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /nightly/7.8/sc/1ffe300/logitechmediaserver-7.8.0-1336646625-noCPAN.tgz on this server.
Apache Server at downloads-origin.slimdevices.com Port 80
Am I doing something wrong? Actually I didn't have this type of problem before, only for LMS 7.73 and 7.8. The reason for asking is that I'd like to see if version 7.8 will run on a Buffalo linkstation. For those who are interested. I am currently running:
Thanks a lot!Code:Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.2 - r33893 @ Wed Mar 14 06:40:27 MDT 2012 on: SSOXX (SSODS 4.x, generic Linux) - DE - utf8
