I have a server with Windows 7 and Squeezebox Server, connected with cable to Cisco E4200. The Squeezebox receiver is connected to the same router through wifi and so is the controller.
It worked flawless for ~3 years but the last 2-3 months it has stopped working 3 times.
I'm not really sure what happens, but it seems like the receiver is losing connection with the server. The music can suddenly stop playing and after a few minutes it starts playing a few seconds again and then stops. It does this a couple of times and then stops completely.
If I check the web interface for the server there's nothing in the player list. If I reboot the receiver it may (or may not) show in the list and if it do show I can start playing (time counts) but it's still silent. Sometimes it starts to play for real after a while and then the time resets to 0 and starts counting from there. Playing us usually bad with skips and stops all the time.
I dont use the controller often now, but it seems to work normal, I can play music through it.
Havent tried to connect the receiver with a cable since my router is full. I assume it's something else that is wrong since it has worked flawless before with this setup.
I have no idea what I have done to get it to work. I tried everything I could think of but I actually think it just started to work by itself.
Any ideas? I always update when Squeezebox server tells me to.

Just noticed this so sorry for the delay. Sounds like some kind of wireless network interference has been introduced. could be a new cordless phone, a microwave oven, a new neighbor with their wireless network or it could be a old neighbor with a new wireless network. I'd use something like inSSIDer to take a look at your wireless environment. You would want to set your wireless network to use channel 1, 6 or 11, whichever is the least crowded in your area.

The problem solved itself last time but now I have the same problem again and this time it's been dead for over a week. I've tried everything, restarting the router, restarting the receiver, resetting the receiver, resetting the controller, connecting through wire, connecting through wifi. Nothing works.
It cannot connect to the server or to mysqueezebox.com and the light is blue on the receiver.
