Switching Between SqueezeBox Server and MySB on Touch

This bugs me every time I set up a new Touch, and it's bugging me again now....

[NB, I'm still with local SqueezeBox Server rather than the new Logitech Server).

I like simple Home Menus, and while the Touch is connected to SqueezeServer I have a) Now Plying; b) Music Folder; c) Favorites; d) Go to MySB.com; and e) Settings.

When I connect to MySB from that menu, all is well in playing terms: my Home Menu shows a) Now Playing; b) Favorites; and c) Settings. But no "Connect to SqueezeBox Server" option. And I can't find that anywhere.

Where is that option? And can I add it to the Home Menu (when connected to MySB) in the usual way?

It's not really necessary, since when you go into 'My Music' it will connect to the local server (or prompt you to connect, I don't recall which, as I don't use mysb.com).

But you should also be able to add it to the Home menu. Go to My Music and see if there's a 'Switch Library' entry. Touch and hold it to bring up the context menu and the option to add it to the Home menu.

I always get rid of Now Playing. My standard screensaver when playing is Now Playing, and you can also get there by hitting the music note in the upper right corner.

    Ahh - you're right (again!).

But this is a bit quirky (or rather, does not work as neatly as it did under the old SB3 regime).

When I'm connected to SqueezeBox Server, I prefer *not* to have "My Music" on my Home Menu, preferring instead its sub-category "Music Folder" as that's where I find my well-organised external HDD hierarchy of Categories > Artists > Albums.

However, when in MySB.com "Music Folder" is not available as an option, so just isn't in the Home Menu. And of course the Touch thinks I want to hide "My Music" under all circumstances.... So if I restore "My Music" to the Home Menu in MySB, I can now connect back to SqueezeBox Server as you say (sometimes it goes straight there, sometimes it asks me if that's where I want to go....). But then, in SqueezeBox Server Home Menu, "My Music" re-appears as an (unwanted) option, as well as the wanted "Music Folder". And I have to leave it there, in order that it also appears as my "switchback" if I'm in MySB.....

    Works OK though!

That's a good point - there's no real need to have it on the Home Menu at all, especially if the device is set to revert to New Playing after a few seconds anyway...
