    Requirements to installing Squeezeboxserver

can someone please list all the required RPMs, packages and addons needed to get Squeeze Server working?

I have a Centos 6.2 server dedicated to this job and as such is bearbones (little software installed)

what do I need to get going?

Please stop cross-posting your single question over and over again. Thanks.

    Try:

    # sudo yum install perl-CGI -y

..and see if that makes a difference.

But, please take Micheal's admonition to heart. You've got several posts out here now and I've asked you specific questions in two of them in an attempt to help you debug this. If you want help from folks here, we'll be more forthcoming if you answer the questions that we pose.

    that got me further
    thanks

I did infact get the server started after more than just that module

the next issue I am facing is that I have a NAS device with a public share where all my music and such goes.

it does not look like I can access those shares from inside Logitech media server.

The nas ( My book world ) is currently setup to provide windows shares

I can't seem to create a valid path in the Media Folders area

Permission of the share or some part of it's path seen from the my book ?

Logically the share should be somewhere under /mnt/..or /media/.. Or where ever you choose to put it
