Hi - Looking to find out if anyone has gotten IRBlaster to work with the SB Touch. I am not having any luck following the wiki http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/IRBlaster I created a native conf file (not RAW) for my receiver and it works fine with the SB3 but not the Touch.
I am wondering if there is some setting on the Touch I am missing or if this feature just does not work on the Touch.
thanks.

Yep, on a NAD 315BEE amp, just on and off though, which was all I needed.
Downloaded a generic conf from lirc and it worked first time (first one on the list).
Gerry.
P.S. Didn't change anything on the SB.Last edited by Gerry123; 2012-02-19 at 09:44. Reason: Additional info.

Gerry - Thanks that's good to hear. It must be something to do with my conf file. I couldn't get a generic one to work, so used IRrecord (from LIRC) to create my own. It was not easy! But the format looks good and it works with the SB3. the headers, etc, look right - at least very similar to the slim.conf that comes with IR Blaster. Below is what i have. i am wondering if the header needs to be changed. i doubt it is the actual codes, as they work with SB3. And clearly it is not RAW.

Of course I only use on/off and I think that's all that works on the SBTouch. As that's all I need I haven't tried any others. It may give you an insight into what changes are needed.
@neeraj
I used an ir led from an old dvd remote connected to a a 3.5mm 2 contact jack plug and taped the led over the ir sensor on the nad. Worked a charm first time. Of course get the polarity right on the led or nothing will happen. (Don't think it does any damage, but don't quote me).Last edited by Gerry123; 2012-02-19 at 12:27.

Thanks. i wouldn't know where to begin to modify it (might need a degree in IR protocols!). The funny thing is that my file works perfect with the SB3 and i am using the same emitter. I did try different emitters and going direct to the amps IR in port.
i suppose it is possible the power output on the headphone jack is different on the Touch compared to the SB3. i have seen that with other devices but that's a guess. or i suppose it could be a format issue. In the log i don't see any obvious errors. the wiki says the conf has to be RC5 and NEC native formats - mine is native but don't know if strictly adheres to those formats.
BTW, i hadn't heard the touch only works for on/off. I would think if you got it to work for on/off the other functions would work too.

Go here for instructions: http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/IRBlaster
not sure which specific generic template Gerry used, but the the lirc nad generic files can be found here: http://lirc.sourceforge.net/remotes/nad/
the basic steps are: Install the IRBlaster Plugin via the LMS web interface. Then copy the generic conf file you want to use to the IRBlaster plugin directory on the server (see wiki for location). Then in the web interface go to Player settings > IRBlaster and setup up your commands there. (Tip - if you don't see your remote file in the IRBlaster setup screen, click the Reload button on that page). If you are on Linux, you will probably have to change the permissions on the conf file you copy.
You will also need an IR emitter that plugs into the SB Touch headphone jack and then goes to your receiver.
be curious how you make out.

Problem Solved! IRBlaster 6.2.1
Hi - It turns out that there was an issue with the IRBlaster Plugin (it was cutting off commands greater than 32 bits, mine was 48 bits).
the developer kindly and promptly addressed it and IRBlaster 6.2.1 is now available and it works with my Denon conf file!
If anyone has encountered a similar issue, you should upgrade the plugin to 6.2.1 and give it as shot.
