There is a new version of the BBC Radio app (1.9) which should fix a bug which caused it not to display on the My Apps menu when it is the only app installed.
The listen live streams should use the latest aac urls that the BBC use and that people have started to post on this forum. If you use the applet this should work with all available BBC streams. If you find a problem please post here.
Please note that the Radio 3 HD stream has had some problems recently, but the standard AAC Radio 3 stream is of equal quality and you should use this in preference.

Much appreciated
I'd tried the original BBC app but uninstalled it after finding out it could only access the live streams.
I'd been using mysqueezebox.com to install and uninstall apps, but your new BBC Radio app doesn't appear on there.
On a pure whim yesterday, I happened to use my radio itself to access the 3rd-party apps list and found the new app. I installed it and was very pleased to be able to access Friday's version of the Radio1/Essential Mix and Radio2/Friday Night is Music Night.
Thank you very much for this new version of the BBC app. It's much appreciated by me.
(By the way, I've installed the 1.9 version and it still disappears from the apps menu after about a day of use. I have to turn off and turn on the radio, and then reinstall it, to get it back.)

Thanks for the great app!

I've noticed the app displays the codec but not the bit rate under More Info.

Me Too........
In answer to your request for feedback Triode, yesterday the BBC Radio app disappeared from the menu again on my radio. This was after updating to 1.9 the day before.
A reboot of the radio was required to bring it back. I can live with this to have such a great app available, but it does seem rather odd behaviour.

Please try new version 1.10 - this puts BBC Radio in both My Apps and Internet Radio menus, so hopefully both won't go missing.
[I supect the issue is due to how the My Apps menu is created - it is easier for me to add to the Internet Radio menu, the only reason I was trying to get the entry in the My Apps one is that when people install from the Apps galery this is where they expect to see it. Lets try it with the menu added to both for the moment.]

Great, but confused. Installed the app which I think is named BBC iPlayer by Triode?
It now appears in internet radio but not in my apps, though the BBC app from mysb.com appears in my apps?!?2 Booms, 1 radio, a touch and an SB3...think that's enough?
