Touch optical over-rides Analog on Bose

    Hi there,

I have a Touch connected via Optical to a Bose Cinemate GS Digital Home Cinema Speaker System.
I then have an analog audio cable going from the Bose System to the TV (Sony Bravia KDL-32 V2000).

I find that when the Touch is in Stand-By, it is still seen as the sound input device on the Bose system (it seems to override the analogue input) so the TV cannot play sound via the Bose system.

The Touch seems to be continually sending a digital optical signal.

Do any of you have any idea if I can resolve this somehow through the Touch, apart from switching it off?

    Many thanks for any tips

Can't you just select a different input source in the Bose?
Also, try actually STOPPING the Touch (press & hold Pause till you see STOP), not just using Pause.

I didn't find a way to select a different input source, but I will try the stop function tonight,... very sensible suggestions in any case, can't believe I didn't think of that, thanks!

Yeah, if the Bose system allows for various/different input sources then there must be a way to select which input is desired at any given moment.

Is your players set to disable outputs when off?

    Check that in LMS:
Settings > Player > Audio > Turn Off Audio = Disable outputs when off
