Syncronizing 2 Squuezebox Touch's

Hi everybody, I'm just a noobie joining your forum and it has been very helpful in setting up my first Squeezebox Touch, that was a month ago.

I have now purchased a second one, got it basically set up with my iMac and have it attached to a Pioneer receiver in the bedroom. The other SBT is in the living room hooked up to another Pioneer receiver. Both run wi-fi and the computer is not connected to either one.

I followed the steps to sync the second one with the first, going to "SETTINGS>SYNC" and am having difficulties. I have named each SBT with a different name. When I go to Settings>Sync it says that I have to have another SBT in order to sync, in other words, it doesn't see the other one.

When I am at the "choose" setting, only 1 SBT appears to pick from.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you running LMS on your iMac? Are both touches connnected to LMS or are they both connected to mysqueezebox.com? If both connected to mysb.com, you should be able to login there and see both players listed and noted as "connected". If they are registered with mysb.com, but connected to your local LMS, you will see them at mysb.com, but they will say "not connected" (which is OK, because instead connected to your local LMS). But bottom line is that they both need to be on same server (lms or mysb.com) in order to Sync.

If you are using the remote server mysqueezebox.com did you register them at the same account ?

Otherwise it may be as gary sugested one is on the local server and one is on mysqueezebox.com

Thanks garym and Mnyb. That is what appears the problem is. My 1st one is listed as follows:
- Type: Squeezebox Touch
- Status: Connected
- Connected from: 174.91.34.85
- Player MAC address: 00:04:20:23:00:64

The 2nd player:
- Type: same
- Status: same
- Connected: same

Only difference is MAC Adress: 00:04:20:23:34:8b

I have been trying to do different things, all without luck. I have each SBT on different email addresses.

Where should I be making changes?

mac should be different it is unique for every player.

Different email ? Then you have two accounts go to mysqueezebox.com log in to the " wrong account " delete all players from it , factory reset the player that was conected to wrong account register again at the correct account.

if you also run a local LMS server go to it's settings and make sure it has the correct login under the mysqueezebox.com tab in settings. then the local server can use the online service in the background for radio and services, making a more seamless experience , you never have to use the online service directly when the local server is running and can make playlists with a mix of local tracks and for example spotify tracks etc or listen to radio and then use your own files without any anoying server switch.
