    Question Backup of Server Files

    See http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/What_to_backup

    I backed up

    /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Prefs

    /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Prefs/Plugins

    /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Plugins

    /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Logs

on Version: 7.6.1 - r33110 running on a Qnap and noticed that /opt/ssods4/var/home/SqueezeboxServer/Plugins was empty though I use plugins like LazySearch2, TrackStat, and SuperDateTime. Are these plugins considered part of the standard install now?

    TIA

If you go to Settings > Information, at the bottom of the page it lists all of the possible locations for plugins. I also see this one:

    ...\cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins.

You could just back up the whole cache directory, although most things in the cache can be rebuilt by doing a full library scan. A few exceptions would be the plugins directory above and the persist.db database. If you want the quickest way to restore the system after a disaster, then backing up the entire cache would allow you to just copy the files back into place and go.

You probably also want to backup your playlists directory if you're not already doing so. There's no need to backup the logs, although it doesn't hurt anything.
