what's wrong with the hype install? You want it in 3rd party?

sigh, I haven't had a free moment to look at this plugin between sxsw and getting ready for a launch/presentation at where 2.0. I'll try to find time for a push closer to the end of april.

Post How do I install on SB Touch 7.7.2?

    Hi!
I'm new to SB but already love it! But I'm having trouble installing the Soundcloud plugin.
First of all, on my Touch v. 7.7.2 everything is called Applets(!) I go into App Gallary, remove the "Show recommended apps only" and get a list of a lot of 3rd party apps - but not all and not the Soundcloud plugin.

Am I doing this right? Does this have something to do with Applets not being the same thing as plugins? Or is there some other way of doing this? I can't find anywhere were I can enter additional repos, and it's not picking up the soundcloud from the slimdevices repo.

    Please help!
    Thanks in advance,
    Michael

plugins are different from applets. Go into LMS > SETTINGS > Plugins tab, check show all 3rd party plugins, then find the one you want and install.
Note, this assumes you are running LMS on your local computer rather than "tinyLMS" inside the TOUCH. TinyLMS doesn't allow the installation of plugins.
    Location 1: VortexBox Appliance 6TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet)
    Location 2: VBA 3TB (2.2) > LMS 7.7.2 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio)
    Office: Win7(64) > LMS 7.7.2 > SqueezePlay
    Spares: VBA 4TB, SB3, Touch (3), Radio (3), CONTROLLER
Controllers: iPhone4S (iPeng), iPad2 (iPengHD & SqueezePad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.7 on Win7(64) laptop
Ripping (FLAC) - dbpoweramp, Tagging - mp3tag, Spotify

Same here.... any luck with the 400 errors? Thanks for the great work though, loving it already - would be even better if I connect to my account and listen to my favourites easily

Yes, a working SoundCloud plugin would really be on my "want" list, too, although I did not use this one a lot anyway since i offers less than what I can already do with iPeng (where I can at least access my account and play stuff from Twitter/facebook where most of my SoundCloud links are coming from) and even what it does didn't work well.

A working plugin IMHO would need two additional features compared to this one:
    * authorization support. Only being able to play authorized links and not being able to set favorites or queue up songs doen't make for a very useful experience, it's only what I can do without the plugin
    * account support. If I want to listen to stuff again I usually store it as a favorite on SoundCloud or play music from friends so I'd need that account to get access to my music.

To go through search for playing stuff every time hasn't turned out to be a very useful SoundCloud use case for me.

I just installed it and it works great so far (in that it is currently playing the one URL I've offered it).

Is it really no longer being actively developed? It would be grand to be able to play a SC user's offerings with the click of a button.

    Hi,

Indeed it mostly works here: tuning into a URL and accessing my favourites and my friends seems to work OK. It unfortunately times out when trying to access the dashboard or any of the searches (Hottest Tracks etc).

Any chance of a quick fix to the Dashboard access? Even if not, great thanks for the plugin!
