    New Vortexbox user....soon.

My Vortexbox Appliance is soon to arrive from the Small Green Computers store. I am a little concerned that it may not fit into my system setup. For instance, I just read in documentation that you 1st plug the VBA into the router and then plug the VBA into the power amp. My power amp is not even near my router. The router is in the basement and the amp is on the 1st floor where my SBTouch is also located. Right now all my SBs are working wirelessly off of my pc which is also in the basement near the router. My goal with the VBA is to turn the pc off and work directly from the VBA, only to use the pc for setup and occasional mods for the VBA.

In other words, the VBA would not be able to plug into my power amp. It will run wirelessly from the router and the pc will be off.

I guess it will all fall into place when the VBA arrives. I'm just trying to get a "feel" earlyon. Is it going to work?

You only need to connect it to your amp if you want to use the built in player.

Oh. I see. I didn't know it had a built in player too. That actually will free up one of my SBRadios I have in the basement. That's great because I have place where I need a radio! Thank you, Bernt.

It's a Squeezebox and Airplay in one player.
