I've tried every suggestion on these forums, yet the piece of junk remains the most worthless, troublesome and buggy piece of electronics I've ever owned. I've enabled SSID broadcast, turned off the n-channel, turned off encryption, and countless other suggestions and while every other wireless device I have on the network (2 laptops, a Chumby, a Touchpad, an iPhone and a Roku) continues to perform perfectly and NEVER lose their connections, my Squeezebox Radio acts like it's allergic to wireless packets. It started out with just the random signal drop, but in the 7 months I've had it, it's gotten progressively worse, now it's at the point of being off the network as much as it is on. I have literally had it sitting 2 inches from the router, yet it doesn't show any signal on the SBR. I have had to enter the password multiple times for the network, and it takes at least 3 tries with the exact same password before it connects (when it does connect). The kicker is that Logitech seems totally oblivious to this issue. Despite multiple threads on this forum and on their main support site, nothing is being done. No updates, no FAQ posts about troubleshooting this issue, or any acknowledgement that there even is an issue.

So here's my fix: tomorrow I'm ordering a Grace Mondo, or a C Crane WiFi radio, or pretty much any wifi radio that gets decent reviews. And I'm contacting my credit card company to see what options I have for getting my money back for this sad sack little POS.
It may actually be broken hardware why not exchange it on warranty ?

Agree...might be the hardware, i have a radio on wifi that works perfectly, in use many hours every day. edit: why would there be a faq or update or instructions? I think the Radio works. They wouldn't have a FAQ about a problem that was unique to a few users, when thousands of users reported no problems.

    Well...did it work?
nope, still losing connection after a factory reset

Well, I'm a little relieved to find this thread as it confirms that I'm not going crazy. My Radio was working perfectly for over a year connected to my 802.11n WPA2 network, and for some reason about two weeks ago it stopped being able to connect. Nothing changed on my network, the signal is strong, and the Radio can see the network, but it keeps returning an error when I try to connect.

    I've tried:

    - resetting the radio to factory defaults
    - turning WPA2 off on my router and running it with no password
    - changing the SSID and channel of the router
    - moving the radio to different locations
    - using a different router

but nothing has worked. The only way I can connect now is if I force my network to broadcast as 802.11b only, and even then the Radio keeps buffering even locally streamed content. Bah.

I guess this will require a support email.

Not sure if that's in response to me, but for what it's worth I tried that and was only able to connect reliably using 802.11b. Really odd.

I assume you have rebooted the router?

    Possible fix, worked for me

    Hi,

My Radio started to have the problems descibed in this thread a few days ago. No issues with other wifi devices, including a SB2.

I tried factory reset of the Radio and forcing the router to channel 1, 6 and 11 - no difference.

I haven't changed any of my router config for a while, but I do have new neighbors either side - I can see a fairly strong 40MHz signal I think is new. But I also noticed that my router is now using 20Mhz channel bandwidth and I'm pretty sure it used to use 40MHz.

I changed the 'Channel Bandwidth' setting on my router from '20/40 MHz' to '40 MHz' and now everything is working fine.

    Hope it helps others.

I've always had the problems of the radio's wifi symbol randomly turning red. This used to happen once or sometimes twice a day and this has been going on for months and there was no change when I had the router assigning channel automatically or when fixing it on channel 1. But, after reading someone here saying to set it to channel 6, I've had not one single red wifi symbol. In two weeks. So, at least for me that did it.

Last week i received a new wifimodem from my provider and after that i had lots of troubles with the wificonnection at my Radio's. Unable to connect, no reconnection after reset or startup, lost of connections overnight etc. But no problems with my Touch.
I changed the channel from 1 to 13 to 12 with no result. The hint in this topic for channel 1,6 or 11 works. Since i choose for channel 11 no red icons anymore.
