New Touch - server update problem

Hello, I received my new Touch today. Surprised at how small it is but it has a nice heft to it. Dinky but solid.

Anyway, I set it up like I did my Radio a few days ago but ran into a new problem. Like the Radio it downloaded an update, but unlike with the Radio I am unable to switch to 'My Music'. I get a message saying my music collection needs to be updated to a newer version of LMS. For those who didn't read my first post in Beginners, I have version 7.4 of Squeezebox Server currently running on my PC (with updates switched off). Without going into details, I was unable to install the latest version of LMS on my PC (which is basically too old), so I installed 7.4.

I was originally going to get a NAS but was coming round to the idea of sticking with the PC, at least or now, but I don't know if that is now possible.

Is there any way to get the Touch to work with 7.4? It may be that I can install a later version somewhere between 7.4 and 7.7 (the one that didn't install), and I can try those one after another but will the Touch still insist on the latest?

Is there a difference between how the Touch and Radio work, for me to get this with the Touch and not the Radio?

The Touch requires Squeezebox Server 7.5 or later. You can get all released versions of the server software from http://downloads.slimdevices.com.

I suggest starting with 7.5.6. And definitely do not try 7.6.0.
