Personally, I would settle for two Radios if my Boom went belly up within the warranty period (a strictly hypothetical situation though). Combined they're 60W (if I am not mistaken, compared to the Boom's 50W), and if you use LMS, the two Radios can be configured to work as a stereo pair. But one Radio? No, that is not equivalent to one Boom in my book either.

Good thought, since you can also set each of them up to be one channel in the stereo pair.

Sound quality would be more inportant than output power to me.
The sound that a Boom produces is a lot better than the sound quality of the Radio. I have a Radio that I use in the bedroom. In this application the sound quality is less important than the Boom I use in the kitchen. If my kitchen Boom would die (hope it never will) then I would replace it with a Touch and a pair of powered speakers. Not by a pair of Radios, even if Logitech would send them to me free of charge.

Maybe now is a good time for Logitech to release the Boom II?
