And once more my Duet is doing tricks I cannot follow. The following problem also occured last year, but was miraculously solved after I was solving some other problems.
Problem: My Duet plays my computer music perfectly, but at this moment it will not connect to 'mysqueezebox' - this means I cannot play internetradio when my computer is switched off. It seems that the Duet cannot access the internet through my router alone - it needs the PC stitched on which has good internet connection. I know it must have something to do with an IP address that needs to be refreshed or updated, but in my controller-menu I simply cannot find any choice to update or refresh the IP-address. Even worse: after I restored to original (factory) settings I even lost the button "go to mysqueezebox" .
I hope there is anybody here on the forum that can help me with this...it is annoying not having internetradio without the PC stitched on.
I run the most recent stuff 7.7.0r9546

Erik

Hi there,
There could be a number of things causing this.
First of all, the "connect to mysqueezbox.com" menu option on the homescreen can easily be brought back by going to the "Settings", "Home Menu", and there selecting the option "Connect to www.mysqueezebox.com".
Regarding the failure to connect to mysqueezebox.com directly... This might be caused by your router, it may be the case that your router is blocking certain ports from having access to the internet. Do you use a firewall on your router? You can try to log into the router and find the right admin pages where these ports are controlled, or otherwise, you could try to simply power-cycle or reset the router.
When you go to the diagnostics pages on the Logitech Media Server, what does it say for the various ports? (Will probably be fine, since you can play internet radio through the server...)
Should that fail, then you could try resetting the Duet receiver and controller while on a different network. If that fails, it might be worth contacting support. They can check whether your Duet is properly registered using your MAC address.

Anthonio

Thanks Anthonio...however I do not think the problem lies with my router. I encountered the same problem twice about a year ago and I remember that it was solved through the Duet Controller which asked me for some sort of new ip address.
It might be an option to completely reset the Duet like you do when you use it for the first time...

Hi Erik,
Yes, you are probably right.
It's never easy to find the exact "reason" why the Duet receiver suddenly won't connect to mysb.com.
I would suggest doing the reset as follows to ensure it's entirely "fresh":
1) Remove the Duet from your account at mysb.com (Or ask support to do it for you)
2) Reset the Duet:
- Take out the powersupply to the receiver, leave it standing for a couple of seconds.
- Hold the large button on the front of the Duet Receiver pressed while you replug the powerlead/ Keep it pressed until it starts to flash red quickly.
- Wait until the LED starts flashing more slowly. The Duet Receiver is now ready to be reconfigured by the Duet Controller.
- Remove the battery from the Duet Controller
- Press in the “More (+)” button on the Controller, and keep holding it pressed in while you re-insert the battery into the Controller.
- You can release the “More (+)” button once the Logitech logo appears on the display.
It's a slightly more involved procedure, but sometimes the Squeezebox Duet seems a bit "resistant" to go through a normal reset
