    one-minute-long hangs when searching...

Taken from a bug report: "Right now I am encountering one-minute-long hangs in the server software when I perform certain searches. I haven't filed a bug report because I have lost some confidence my reports will be looked at."

I'm experiencing the same behaviour. It's really annoying. The web interface doesn't respond, and it causes the music to stop. This is really bad...

    * Do you see this every time? What happens if you run the same search several times in a row? Or a similar search after having just run one?

    * What kind of search are you talking about? The basic search or the advanced search? Give an example.

I haven't researched this extensively, but browsing through the bugreports I noticed that someone else had the same problems.
Last time I noticed this I was searching using the looking glass on top of the web interface. (not using the search menu)
I think it only happens once, after the first search. But I'll have to investigate this further.

How big are your music collections?

I wonder if it's related to what some of us are seeing here:
