I wonder...does the removal of "old Napster" code now free up any firmware space in the older Squeezebox devices to support Spotify?

Spotify only works on Radio and Touch. I have Boom and Duet as well.

Spotify also only allows you to use one device at a time. Not much good if two people are listing independently of each other.

Napster is the only choice for me at the moment...

No, and there are other reasons we couldn't support it there even if we had the space. They won't provide the source code even to partners, for example.

There are still a lot of hours left in "today"... we are working on it. We have to also release 7.7.2 because the old Napster app will be broken, and are just doing some final things around this.

Yeah the update has gone out, hopefully things work for you all now. If using LMS you need to update to 7.7.2.

Yep, all sorted now Andy :^

Mysqueezebox.com is still showing the old Napster app as well as the new one, and they have the same name and logo, so that's a bit confusing, but otherwise all good.

Have updated the server to 7.72

However my touch does not see an update and asks if I want to reinstall 7.71

Anyone have any ideas as the update to the server alone has not fixed anything
