accurate sync and bandwidth reduction for live streams when connected to MySB.

Would like to see bug 17782 looked at, which is a new database metadata corruption introduced in 7.7.0 that never occurred prior to this.

And, Andy, is anyone ever going to look at IP3K firmware issues any more? I've had a bug outstanding for over 3 months regarding the Receiver's major DHCP issues that were introduced several upgrades ago and no-one has even touched it.

Hi Andy... I am really hoping that you can help me here... It is very promising news to hear that a RC in mid-December is within your sights!!!

I installed one of the nightlies of LMS 7.7.1 on my WHS...

My library will not complete the scan of my library without running into the error, "Media Scan Terminated Unexpectedly".

I attempted to clear all my preference files, cache, etc...and did a rescan... Identical results...

I ended up uninstalling and reloading 7.6.1 - r33110... And yes, the scan completed without incident...

I am happy to provide whatever log files needed to help diagnose and get this fixed for the mid-December release. This is a critical issue for me (and I am assuming I am not alone)...

A friend of mine on these boards has pointed me to bug #17617, but I am not confident whether this is directly related to what I am experiencing or not. I can tell you that my 7.7.1 scan goes for about a half an hour before unexpectedly terminating (my library is about 45,000).

Thanks for anything you can do to address this critical issue in this next release!

I've installed the release candidate on a squeezeplug running debian but my radios and controller are still running old firmware versions. How do I update to the latest versions?

TS, M2TS files work great now.

I'm still having some scanner issues, and there doesn't seem to be any indication that there is a failure.
I have the logging set to debug for the scanner. There is no error in the log. The scanner just scans so many files then stops scanning new content. Clicking abort also has no impact.

The audio and image files scan quickly and complete. It always hangs on scanning the media.

I don't recall whether the scanner logs the media file being scanned at any of the logging settings. Can you tell whether or not it always hangs on the same file?
