My Duet tells me it's running SqueezeOS.
Does anyone know where/how to get SNMP for the SqueezeOS?
I'd like to monitor my Duet with my network monitoring software.

It's the controller part that runs squeezeOS the receiver is something more primitive .
You are aware that you can SSH and SCP to the controller and possibly install stuff there..... as SqueezOS is very linux like but simple so many standard tools are missing or not possible to install.
but the controller is often in power save and wont reconnect until you use it so what to monitor ?--------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes I know about SSH. That is how I asked the Duet what it was running and it replied "SqueezeOS".
Yes I know it's like linux but I'm a bit of a noob so I was hoping there might be a package manager which would run on the SqueezeOS and make it easy to install snmp. Or do i have to compile net-snmp from source?
If I have SNMP I can monitor interface traffic on my lan.

Nothing as complex as a package manager afiak :-/ squeezeOS is more like the " linux" that run inside many routers , here end my linux knowledge too... Have on rare ocasion compiled for my server but never for SqueezeOS .

snmpd is what is needed in Linux application to handle SNMP requests from client/management s/w and it would have to be integrated with the tcp and IP drivers.
IIRC The Duet receiver does not have any SNMP facilities and firmware is not open source. Routers would be the best source of info on traffic on your lan since all data will go through the router. Unfortunately many consumer routers do not have SNMP - to get SNMP facilities in your router - you can use a 3rd party firmware such as DDWRT/OpenWRT and install the SNMP package.
