It is a long way from the early days here of very positive and negative posting which at times drove me away from this forum.
It appears we now have a very well mannered bunch here with good sound as their ultimate goal.

I hope everyone continues to present their test results here so we are all more empowered to try and find the sound we each would like to achieve from the Touch.

    Happy New Year to all.
    +1!

May we know which Shunyata cord is that and where was it inserted in the chain.

For example, Dave Liebman's "Your Lady" (from his phenomenal album "Drum Ode", ECM, 1975) came to life in an amazingly musical way. I've been intimately familiar with this tune since 1978, I thought I knew it inside-out, but boy was I in for a surprise last night when I gave it a spin

So many never before heard important instrumental details, especially in the battery of sundry percussion. Those tiny, barely audible little scratches are now prominently present in the mix, they are positioned with laser sharp precision in the soundstage, and are layered in depth (many of them are obviously positioned a few feet behind some other instruments, the ones who are more forward positioned). These quiet sounds receding into the background are surprisingly not getting smothered or covered by the louder, more aggressive sounds.

As I kept switching to different CDs etc., I've noticed how my experience was going beyond the vinyl-like listening experience and into the master tape listening experience. The sound is now so alive, so muscular, so sturdy, that it gets overwhelmingly emotional. Each and every recording/mixing session now has a unique sonic signature of its own.

I'm hesitant to attribute this improvement solely to the latest TT3.0 mods, because the mods coincided, in my case, with the upgrade to the power cable -- I've just installed a new Shunyata power cable, which was a revelation. That, plus the much maligned attenuation of the EMI and RF interferences, seemed to have cleared up so much noise, that the music now shines through.

Thanks again to all who contributed, and a happy and prosperous new year to all!
What are you going to report next week, when SBGK comes up with some new values for priorities?

i was not expecting much, if at all, with p.62 mods. but to me, this latest changes are more noticeable than tt3.0 was from factory settings. music and voices (singers as well as announcers) are more expansive. in fact, they are bigger and louder. i know well where the typical volume position is. after p.62, i reduced it by 2 to 3 clicks. i haven't been this impressed since i went all active, crossovers and amps.

my gratitude goes out to soundcheck and sbgk for squeezing great audio out of the touch.

I am wondering if you guys do anything special with your servers while listening to music. Such as shut down all/most apps that have nothing to do with it, or at least the apps that may use the LAN/web. Thanks.
