iPeng works with 7.3.3 but I would also not recommend it, and some functionality will be missing.
I like 7.7.1 quite well, it's a pretty stable release unless you try to use iTunes artwork integration or have weird tags and use a Mac. But that's kind of the same level of issues 7.3.3 has, too.

    Using napster with squeezepad

    Hi Bluegaspode,
I bought my wife an ipad for Christmas, and to make it a more enjoyable present I downloaded Squeezepad. Excellent app, but need help with one small issue.
Using Napster,if I try to use the "search" function, the keyboard pops up as it should, and I type in the artist/track/album I wish to search for. Unfortunately, I can then get no further,as the area I need to "click" on to complete the search is obscured somewhere beneath either the keyboard or the album art of the previously played track.
I realise I'm new to the ipad, and I'm probably missing something obvious, but any help appreciated.

    Trev.

I just double checked to make sure - this does not happen with Squeezecommander
    Touch + my hifi
    Duet + AE2's
    SB3 + AE5's
    2 Booms ( 1 as a spare )
    1 Radio
    Squeezecommander on Samsung Galaxy Ace
    ipeng on wifes ipad
Logitech app on my sons HTC Desire

    Hi Trev,

I'm not sure I do understand your problem yet
When the keyboard opens for a search field, on the right hand side there should be a "Send" button on the keyboard.

So just enter the word and hit 'Send' ?

Could you make a screenshot otherwise (hold the power button and the home button of the iPad at the same time. A picture of the screen will be put into your pictures folder - which you can download by syncing to iTunes).
Did you know: SqueezePlayer will stream all your music to your Android device. Take your music everywhere!

    Cheers,
FWIW, I am running 7.3.4, with the latest SqueezePad and iPeng versions. No problems thus far.

    Hi Stefan,
Thanks for the reply. I'm at work at the moment so I'll do as you asked tomorrow morning if needed. I must admit I was looking for the "send" button where it appears on the squeezecommander screen, rather than on the keyboard itself ( I was in a bit of a rush at the time )

SqueezePad 1.9.5 is available on the AppStore now.

While version 1.9.4 was the first version to really support Retina resolution, in this old version I had to focus on the parts which didn't take too long to implement to make you happy with your new iPad. Now some more time has passed and I have been able to look into all remaining corners of the App as well.

    • all album art thumbnails (left menu and playlist) now are using twice the resolution on iPad3. A joy for the eyes! I also found a nasty bug which made the icons look blurry on iPad 1+2 - even though they use the same resolution as before, they are much sharper now.
    • ALL icons are optimized for the new iPad now. Gosh - this was a huge amount of work - every icon had to be redrawn from scratch, because you cannot just scale up the old icons. But it was worth it, definitely! I'm still in the middle of moving (tomorrow being the main day where all the furniture goes to the new rooms) but I'm planning to provide some comparisons of old and new icons on my blog (http://www.squeezepad.com/blog/) . So keep watching it, hope to have it finished in about two weeks.
    • the download of the big albums covers is much faster now.

I hope you enjoy this new release as much as I do!

    SqueezePad 1.9.6 is available now.

It focusses on improving the overall stability.
    • better performance of album view: users with larger libraries (>=40.000 tracks) reported, that with the Retina release the album view got a bit slow (even after caching the list) - on rare occasions SqueezePad even quit when trying to show albums. I have now a test library with 50.000 tracks (thanks to erland, why created this library some time ago) and officially test SqueezePad against that.
    • fixed some occasional crashes. In the last bugfix release I also integrated a technique, which allowed you to send me crashes directly should they ever happen. This allowed me to get some better insight and statistics about SqueezePads crashes in the wild. The results were quite interesting. Though I never received a report about crashes via my normal support channels (this forum or mail), statistics showed, that SqueezePad annoyed around 5 users per day worldwide. While I consider this a very very low count - it's still too much of course - so these bugs have been fixed and of course I keep watching.

Have a lot of fun with this new version of SqueezePad!

Now on with watching football ... Germanys first match in the european championship ...

SqueezePad 1.9.7 is available now on the AppStore

Is can be seen in the version number, its a bugfix release addressing some of the currently reported issues:

    • on large collections the indexbar in the menu sometimes disappeared. This has been fixed
    • after 15min idle/sleep time of the iPad, SqueezePad often briefly showed a red "server disconnected" screen. This has been optimized
    • fixed some rare crashes

Have a lot of fun with this new version of SqueezePad!
