They just released a new beta version that has a pandora-like function to create your own stations. Any chance this app will be added?

Yeah but it's really pitiful
You youngsters will probable like this iHeart feature. But I don't. You'll just have to try it to see.
Unless you really like the new artists that are from the 80's-2012. Generally, I don't. I can name a few I like. So give me a break. I can discover new artists without this much better by other means. There are very few artists from that era I would consider on par with Classic Rock artists from 60's through maybe the early 80's, but not many. So as far as I am concerned this feature of the app is crippled. At least I can just play the few radio stations that I like that have chosen to use this lame iHeart radio format based on iTunes.
Here is the artist name I tried with the iHeart app: The Beatles. The matches were so bad I exceeded my skip limit within 30 seconds. Sorry, the app needs more work. Or maybe I'm just a dinosaur and I need to get out of the way. What a shame, as this culture could use some wisdom from it's elders.

And I'm just giving my opinion. I really don't mean to be negative.

OK wait a minute
Just got an email from iHeart. What a coincidence. It says to use song names. I'll try that and get back to you.

Yes working better now with song names
Tried song title "Things We Said Today" by The Beatles. First song it played was "Getting Better" by The Beatles. Next song was a live version of "Knockin' On Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan and The Band. Woah, is this a message to all of old guys to get out of the way? Next "Helen Wheels" by Paul McCartny and Wings, I pressed skip. Next some song by CCR "Bad Moon a Risin'", skip. Ugh. Next "Crossroads" by Cream, ahh, wonderful.
Maybe I was hasty. Has potential. Now we need an iHeart app that works on Squeezebox. Fat chance.

Why does it make you allow access to your FaceBook account?
Anyone? Why would this be required? To spam us on FaceBook? Probably. I'll wait and see.

As soon as I saw that the new IHR version for Android "encouraged" (= required) Facebook login, I backpedaled and reinstalled the last good non-Facebook IHR, v3.0.4. Still seems to work fine on my three Android devices.
Too bad, though, that there doesn't (yet) appear to exist an IHR app for Squeezebox. I'd even tolerate (barely) the Facebook issue if there was such an app. As I've read from other posters, ClearChannel station streaming by way of the TuneIn app on Squeezebox has been getting spotty lately -- for me, Los Angeles' KFI and San Francisco's KNEW stopped streaming on 10/3, with only San Diego's KOGO still working.
It's a drag.

I wasn't aware of the IHR problem until 10/3 when I too found that I was cut off from KFI Los Angeles. I tried contacting IHR, the last response in the chain is:
"Unfortunately, we do not have a link for internet radio at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience."
I don't want an IHR "app", I want a streaming URL like I had..
