I used portupgrade to upgrade my working nightly in freebsd to 5.3.0. I am
no getting the following error message when I try to start slimserver:
darth# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/slimserver.sh start
Starting slimserver.
Time::HiRes object version 1.59 does not match bootstrap parameter 01.20 at
/usr
/local/lib/perl5/5.6.1/mach/DynaLoader.pm line 225.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/slimserver/slimserver.pl line
90.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/slimserver/slimserver.pl
line 90
Any help getting me back up and running would be appreciated.

I get a very similar message on Linux.
I just move away /usr/local/slimserver/CPAN/arch after each install.
I don't know if this is a bug in my Perl installation or in the way
slimserver uses its own copy of Time::HiRes.

Sorry I didn't notice this message before. Are all your ports updated?
I have not tested with 5.6.1 so I can't really comment on this issue in
any significant way. I don't have many 4.x boxes and the one I have is
running perl 5.8. If you aren't running anything in production, you
might just do a perl upgrade.
