I'm having the same problem. Won't connect to either of my PCs.

Hi all,
I have the latest version of softsqueeze installed on 2 different PCs.
It is working fine on a XP SP3 computer, wire on the LAN. However, it doesn't work on my laptop running under win 7 64 bits. Connexion is done via WIFI and no chance to access to the server. The soft starts well, it get visible on the web page of the server or on the SB.com page, but no chance to access the music files.
Also tried in compatibility mode, but there it blocks the music to be running on any other platform (softqueeze or duet)as long as running. Sound comes again immediately after shutting down soft squeeze on the laptop.
Any additional idea is welcome.

If you are using Softsqueeze and not Squeezeplay - then the issue is a firewall.
You should give the version no's of the players, SBS and OS you are using.

Oups, big mistake. Of course I'm talking about squeezeplay, not softqueeze!
I mixed both names as using softqueeze up to now, but removed it from both PCs as there was some compatibility issue with the last server version.
Sorry again!

Problem resolved here!
Hi there.
I have also been fighting with this issue today, now I found the problem in my setup. For few days ago I installed oracle virtual box. Virtual box had made a Virtual Ethernet Adapter in “network connections” recognized as an unidentified network. It seems like squeezeplay was trying to connect to my SBS/LMS through this adapter, because after disabling this adapter, squeezeplay can connect to the library again

Problem solved here too
I had similar problems with connecting to LMS on 64bit Windows7 (enterprise). I'm also running VMWare player on the same machine. Inspired by Heth's findings I disabled VMWare's virtual ethernet adapters and now all problems have disappeared.

I seem to have the same problem with Squeezeplay.
Running Windows7 x64
Not (deliberately) running any VMware that I know of. How would I tell if something had installed it without me knowing?
cheers,
Chris
