    Duet can't find players

At my wits end with trying to get my squeezebox duet to recognise my squeezebox Sweet player - it recognises my home wireless network and connects to it but keeps scanning for players without success - can anyone advise before it followed by me go through the window?

I'm a bit confused. what is a "squeezebox "Sweet" player"? You have a duet (receiver and controller). Both of these should be connected (ethernet or wifi) back to your ROUTER (local network).

Do you have SqueezeboxServer installed on a computer in your LAN? Of are you just wanting to connect to mysqueezebox.com (the SbS in the cloud). You say something is scanning for players? Do you mean the controller????

A bit more info would help us point you in the right direction.

    Scanning for players

Similar topic. I've just acqquired a new laptop with Windows7 and it's connecting to the network OK but then can't seem to find any Players. I just get "Scanning for players" - never ending. I've done a factory reset - no solution. It worked fine on my old XP laptop! I've also changed my router so I don't know whether this is an issue. Thanks

On one of the players select my music and see if it offers you your server. Also look at SbS control panel and diagnostics tab. Are all ports ok.

When I hit "My Music" it moves to "Select Player" which is completely blank! Nothing on the screen!

    What about the port diagnostics.

Having a similsr problem since the last few software upgrades. The server does not "see" the player. It says it's connected on mysqueezebox.com.

Done the usual as well as factory reset. OK before. The handset says not connected to server.

I have a sb duet receiver and controller. I am stuck with screen on the controller "scanning for players" I also get a similar message when trying to use iPad app or my webOS device.
the home screen shown only 4 selectable options. My Music: when selected it says goose player, but non listed to choose from. Return to setup, takes you through the set up process, connect to the WiFi network but then keeps scanning for player. Chose player: no players listed yo be selected. Settings: I tried to restore factory setting, I have also manually reset receiver, and a lot other ways but no joy. Under settings>diagnostics>software updates n no matters how many times I have selected begin update 7.6.1 r9482, it will download, restart, but still say begin update under settings... But when I select settings> diagnostics> gen info it shows current fw 7.6.1 r9482
I am not sure if that is the problem or not, but I have pretty much tried everything.
I recently changed the router! To an Apple time capsule!
receiver blinks green or yellow, weird choice of color.
squeezeserver is running on my windows 7 htpc, no problem.

Make sure you have Guest Network turned OFF on your router, if it has it.

    Scanning for Players

I'm also now having this problem.

Duet cn see my network but cannot see any players.
    Controller just keeps scanning.

I've tried searching for a solution and this issue with players not being found and it seems to be a very common error with no common solution. Is it a bug?
