Touch display is now different since latest firmware update

I was prompted to update the firmware to the latest firmware today on all 3 of my Touches.

Upon completion of the update all 3 of the Touches completely dropped off the wireless network and could not connect. Also, all 3 were missing features and settings features that were there prior to the update.

I finally had to reboot my wireless router even though none of the other wireless devices in my house were having any issues connecting or seeing the network.

Now that all is back online again, I noticed that one of the Touches cannot setup the screen preferences the way it was prior. Prior, I had the Album Artwork showing as well as time remaing, name of Album, Track # and Track title... now I can get the above but without the Artwork, or I can get the Artwork by itself without any of the above...

I truly do not understand why this is always such a cluster *#&$^ each and every update...

Any suggestions on how to get the screen preference back?

Yes, I have the same problem as well as a very eratic touch loosing wireless signal and once changing it's name to "nil"!

It's gone from being stable (though with the well documented Ethernet and buffering problems that I'm still trying to sort - any pointers on those two boggles?) to being completely erratic and just plain annoying.

Interesting. I had mysqueezebox.com had my Radio listed as nil a number of times before this most recent firmware update 7.6.1. So I just checked to see if this behavior has repeated itself. Both the Touch and the Radio were properly listed.

Even when the Radio was listed as nil, it seemed to work fine so I don't know what nil actually means.

Seems it is a standard name when having issues connecting with mysqueezebox.com ; log there with a browser and change settings under 'player', it has been renamed as 'nil', change it, then the player will show the new name; happens time to time.

I use my Touch only for internet radio ( got fed up with trying to use it with USB-disc)
Usually works ok but lately it has started to live its own life. Seems to have started on its own when I have turned it off. The Favorites button on remote control does not work. I have use the reset button every now and then to get it working.
Just did a reset and now it doesn't display the web radio station i choose from my favorites list. It plays the station i select but allways displays the radio station that is first in my list.
I can go on...

Should I make some sort of general factory reset? How do I do that in the best way?

The Touch sounds quite good I think but the software is a really low standard.

Edit/ addition
I disconnected power and pressed the rest button for more than 10s and now everyting seems to work as it should.
It just has been to many problems lately for my liking.
