    Question Squeezeplay

I use Softsqueeze on my PC to access music on my NAS (which has SBS7.6).
It works well but the interface isn't very good.
Is Squeezeplay a replacement for Softsqueeze?
How do I install it on my PC?

For example here, look at the bottom of the list.

    http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=7.6

As squeezeplay for desktop is an " eternal beta" you have to look for it in the beta software .

Softsqueeze will still exist, but it is maintained by a 3rd party dev, not logitech

Just pick the one you prefer, squeezeplay can also be a controller ( chose player option ) for other players, so it,s a bit more than a player emulator.

    Thanks for that.
Windows version appears to work very well and plays my FLAC files.
So much better than Firefly / itunes or Softsqueeze.
Do you know why it's an eternal beta?

No, probably lack of resources, it still lacks some features for example choosing wich soundcard you want as output and it's works onsome OS others not, it does not run on mynUbuntu install.

    History:
It is/was a development tool, it behaves just like anynother "squeezeplay" hence you can test controller radio or Touch stuff on it without running the actualll hardware.
