There's nothing Logitech can do. They don't have any contract which would allow them to force CBS to re-enable access for Squeezebox users specifically.

It's either an issue between TuneIn and CBS, or it's a unilateral CBS decision. Either way it's CBS who are at fault here.

This is a classic internet radio issue - so many US stations use proprietary software seeminly to force listeners into using a web-based browser to listen - the purpose is to push advverts at you while you listen. In my view radio is radio not TV. Avoid such broadcasters - there's plenty of alternative choice out there!

I don't get the rationale of pushing ads to radio listeners. I can listen to OTA radio all day long and not see any ads. I hear the ads on the stations just like everyone else. On the other hand, alienating hundreds of thousands (maybe more?) listeners with internet radio hardware is a bonehead move. I'm not going to download their crappy iOS app just so I can listen on my iPhone. I'll either turn the analog radio on, or move on to another station. Stupid Greedy Chuckleheads...

I guess they have 'research' which shows that visual ads are more effective than 'audio' ads - they can stream audo and just catch your eye with a visual. I personally psychologically fade out audio ads - much more difficult to do with visuals. On the other hand, I just tend to avoid any stations which push advertising at me - that's my choice!

    A solution!

Just got this off the Logitech forum. I gave it a try and it works. No art, but I can live without it for radio.

Was emailed this from FROM CBS INTERACTIVE MUSIC GROUP -

Due to licensing issues, the station you were listening to on TuneIn is no longer available.

On desktop to continue listening to your favorite CBS stations, go to Radio.com.
For mobile users, you can download the official Radio.com application from the iTunes store or your Android Market place.

For internet radio device listeners, you can access stations directly as follows:

    http://provisioning.streamtheworld.c.../KROQFMAAC.pls OR

    http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/KROQFM.pls

Please replace the station call sign with the appropriate call sign.
After tuning in, you can ‘bookmark’ or set the station as a preset for future reference.

Why bother? Switch to a non-greedy broadcaster! In a globalised world, this licencing excuse is pathetic.

Apple have reserves greater than the US government - gazillions - yet they are engaging in a pathetic lawsuit to prevent Samsung introducing a tablet computer. They already have billions of sheep who are unlikely to switch to an identikit model.

How much more do they actually want ... I suspect they want everything and will use any trick in the book to achieve it! Banksters, media purveyors, they are all the same greedy army devouring averything they can at whatever the cost.

This is what I was able to do.
    I went to http://www.radio-locator.com/
Found my blocked stations. Click to open the playlist in VLC.
Then copied the link to mysqueezebox.com favorites.
Now I can connect my radio to mysqueezebox site and access these stations.

ejnj: It's a playlist file you need something like vlc or winamp to open these. They will not open within a browser if that is what you are trying to do.
