What in particular do you like about MOG?
I've been hearing a lot of good things about MOG, and if it was supported on Squeezebox I'd give it a try. There are a lot of frustrating things about Spotify--tlee summarized the biggies. I'll add these:

At least in the US version, you can not even browse by genres, which makes discovery very difficult. It takes a lot of effort and third party services to find out what you might like.

They use Get Satisfaction for support. Ugh. I might as well walk out my back door and yell bug reports and feature requests into the wind. I wish that site was banished from the internet!

Curious how MOG is as far as getting new releases? Do new releases show up the same day they are available to buy?

I find this to be a hassle myself. You seem to have to know what you are looking for to find it. However, last night I started scratching the surface on using other people's playlists. I found a blog where somebody has put together over a hundred playlists for classical - putting together label collections, composer catalogs, etc. Pretty interesting!

My hope is that they will improve upon this as time passes. Just being able to organize my playlists (albums really!) by artist and genre would be a nice improvement.

I had never seen this website before. I made a single post and I agree with your assesment - it's useless.

Why no new apps coming out?

All of the new releases that I've been interested in have arrived in
MOG on their standard Tuesday U.S. release dates. YMMV.

And, yes, I have broken out the line-in cable of my SB a few times to
listen to things on MOG that I didn't have in my home library. No
multi-player action or sync, of course.

The big thing about these services is the immediate gratification
factor. No need to go through the purchasing or ripping process, no
tagging, no backups, no hassle. Just find what you want then hit Play
and go. It's really nice. It'll never be a replacement for a well
curated personal library, but it does have it's place.

MOG does have a free trial period. Give it a spin if you're game.

Mog would be nice. Used it on laptop and really liked the navagation and that it created and had a radio feature. I like to listen in radio moods. Spotify is kinda nice but makes you jump thru a lot hoops and a couple songs comes up that are not USA it wont skip and you manually have to do it. That stinks about spotify. Would love a mog app.
