After Updating the Squeezebox Duet to version 7.6.0 r9458 and the Squeezebox Server to version 7.6.0 r32854, I just get a message that the the lists of Artist, Albums, year etc are empty when going to My Music in the remote control. I have rescanned everything in Server program.
The only way to play the music is to go through the Musicfolder option. That is like searching for music in my computer in the folders.
Can somebody tell me what has happened and how I can search my music in the lists mentioned above?

Does the scanning indicate that it was completed successfully if you look in SBS Settings/Information in the web interface ?
How is your music scanned, are you using the MusicIP integration, the iTunes integration or have you just specified a Music Folder ?
You can look in SBS Settings/Advanced/MusicIP and SBS Settings/Advanced/iTunes to see if the MusicIP or iTunes integration is enabled. You can look in SBS Settings/Basic Settings to see if a "Music Folder" has been configured.
If the scanning has completed successfully, please try to select to do a "Clear library and rescan everything" scanning through the SBS Settings/Basic Settings page and see if if still indicates no music after that has finished.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

Error during scanning
I started the scanning through the web-interface and after 45 minutes I got a message that the Squeezebox Server Scanner have stopped working.
The scanning has stopped at the start of the Pre-caching Artwork scanning.
I have tried this 2 times and got the same result twice.
The files can be played through the Musicfolder option, but not through Artists, Albums or Playlists.
The scanning was performed without any connections with iTunes.

Any indication which music file or jpeg file it might be related to ?
Sounds like it's either a corrupt image file or a bug in the Squeezebox Server scanner. If it's possible to find out which file is causing the problems through the scanner.log or by enabling more logging in SBS Settings/Advanced/Logging and then perform a rescan and look in scanner.log, I'd suggest that you register a bug report at http://bugs.slimdevices.com and attach the problematic file to the bug report.
Do you have any idea if it's caused by embedded image data in the music file or by a separate jpeg file in album folder ?Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

The folder that is listed, do not contain any pictures or jpg files. That is the strange issue here. It is the first folder that is scanned.
In my list that is ABBA. ((C:\Users\Public\Music\Album\A\ABBA\1973 - Ring Ring\12 - Rock & Roll Band.mp3)Last edited by Spiralis; 2011-07-27 at 10:34.

Could you try to move that file into a separate directory and temporarily point the "Music Folder" in SBS settings to that directory and see if you still get the same error in the scanner.log ?
If you do, could you register a bug report at http://bugs.slimdevices.com and attach this mp3 file to the bug report ?
I suspect there is an image embedded into the mp3 and this causes the scanner to crash for some reason. Might be corrupt image data but the scanner should still not crash.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)

Your problem seems to be a bit different when looking at your error.
Does your problem happen with a specific file ?
If you enable "debug" logging on the "scan*" items in SBS Settings/Advanced/Logging you will get a bit more information in the server.log unless it already today indicates which file causes the problem.
If you can see exactly which file that's causing it, post more information about that file and its tags, or just register a bug report at http://bugs.slimdevices.com and attach the problematic file to the bug report.
That's an option, but if you decide to do that, I'd recommend that you at least post at the official support forum at http://forums.logitech.com so the Logitech support staff gets to know something isn't working. That's very important as they might make a new release without fixing the bug unless you have given them enough information to track it down. The Logitech support staff doesn't monitor this community forum, they only look at the official support forum.
If you want help from someone to provide step by step instruction how to help finding the issue, you can contact Logitech support directly, you will find the "Support" contact link at the top of this forum.Erland Isaksson (My homepage)
