Voted and tested Martin William's patch. It works perfectly and scanning speed doesn't seem to suffer. In fact, scanning might be a tad faster using his code.

@LMS developers/hackers: Any chance to get this fixed in next LMS versions? Bug ist still unconfirmend (to be honest i can't believe this, but it's true).

12 votes in Bugzilla, classification as Major Bug, but still no activities. This is one of the real annoying things around Logitech and LMS and forces us to Sonos and other professional streaming solutions. Sad.
