Well, the usual self-advertising remark: you could of course invest $10 for iPeng...

Did you know: SqueezePlayer will stream all your music to your Android device. Take your music everywhere!
Remote Control + Streaming to your iPad? Squeezebox + iPad = SqueezePad

Joking right?
On the iTunes store there is not a word that iPeng manages alarms, sleep, or favorites.
Since those are the features I would expect in a remote control why aren't they explicitly in the iPeng description?
I have 95 apps on my iPhone. iPeng looks like it does what the iPod app does, except it does it through a Squeezebox. That may be useful for a SB when people buy their apps in the cloud, but right now why wouldn't I do these things with iTunes and the iPod app?
I invested in a Squeezbox as a bedroom radio in an area with poor FM... but what is the added value of the iPeng app? I could just plug speakers into my iPod or iPhone?

Because the iPeng description does already use every single character available yet there are still dozens of features that go unmentioned.
So many people have different preferences you can't hit the correct choice for everyone.
Also, if you expect them anyway, why talk about it? You expect it, it's there
EDIT: You are wrong. Alarms and Sleep ARE mentioned in the App Store description
Ah. Wait a moment. We are talking about using the SQUEEEZEBOX Alarm.I have 95 apps on my iPhone. iPeng looks like it does what the iPod app does, except it does it through a Squeezebox. That may be useful for a SB when people buy their apps in the cloud, but right now why wouldn't I do these things with iTunes and the iPod app?
Can't do that with iTunes, can't you?
It's primarily a remote control for your Squeezebox. Your earphones don't help you with that.I invested in a Squeezbox as a bedroom radio in an area with poor FM... but what is the added value of the iPeng app? I could just plug speakers into my iPod or iPhone?
If you talk about iPeng's streaming (which is an additional In-App-Purchase). Well, you don't have to sync your stuff onto your iThingy to listen to it. Saves a lot of time and effort.Last edited by pippin; 2011-07-29 at 19:10.
