I installed the arm version of SBS. When I run the server file there are no error messages.
However, when I check running services the server is not listed.
If anyone is willing to help or comment then I can post the exact message I get when I run the slimserver.pl file.

Hi Castella,
I'm no Linux/Unix expert, but why run the .pl file, if there's a startscript that does all the work for you?
I've been wrestling with Slimserver on a La Cie Networkspace (which runs an ARM version of Linux) and the Slimserver installation package comes with startscripts.
Look for anything that looks like S99Slimserver (I my case). You'll find it in /etc/rc.d/rc3.d or somewhere in your installation package.

Squeezebox Server is just as buggy under Windows(UAC, scanner.exe etc)
Check /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log
I assume you'll see things like Squeezeboxserver died, Restarting etc.
What is the hardware beyond "arm"?
What Linux is it running?
What did you install exactly?
Eg deb package, source package, using apt-get or similar, using some install wizard, using a package by someone else?

It's some time ago - I'll have to fire up the device to get to the logs.
It's Ubuntu 9.04 on a smartq V5 tablet
I used the deb package installer.
I'll search the logs and report back.
Thanks.
