maximum 500 tracks appear in playlists

I have read a number of threads about the 500 limit to playlist tracks in SBS. I have tried re-setting numerous times (in advanced, performance settings) leaving the field blank, trying zero, and numbers higher than 500. This will apply and save in the SBS settings, but when I come to play the playlists (either through ipeng on an ipad2 or through my duet controller), only 500 tracks are appearing, despite clicking apply and rescanning the library.
I am running version 7.5.4 - v32171
Can anyone help, will this be fixed in 7.6?

Have you checked in bugs.slimdevices.com if there is a bug for it ?

I think I've seen other users which have got it to work in existing version, so it could be something in your setup.

However, it's important to realize that SBS generally have very poor performance with a large current playlist, so it's strongly recommended that you use "Random Mix" or third party plugins like "SugarCube" or "Dynamic Playlist" or "SQL Playlist" which are only keeping a small part of the large playlist as current playlist and add more tracks at the end and remove tracks in the beginning of current playlist when needed.

Thanks for the help. I have installed dynamic playlists and have discovered that there is a random playback of tracks from existing playlist function and it is working great. I won't bother trying to fix the SBS playlist limit after all.
