Now Playing Views?

Running Squeezeplay 7.5.3 on two different networked laptops, plus one Squeezebox radio. One is windows 7, the other is xp.
On the windows 7 machine, the 'Now Playing' view can toggle between text only, artwork only, and text and artwork, plus two animated scenes. One animation is a colorful spectrum analyzer, the other one is an animation of a pair of old-school v/u meters.
The same version of Squeezeplay is on my XP machine, but it will only toggle through the first 3 views. It wont show either of the animated views like my win 7 box do.
So here comes the dumb question... is that just because win 7 is way cooler, or am I missing something?
Next dumb question... am I supposed to be able to select these animated scenes on my Squeezebox Radio too?

There's a setting where any of the views can be disabled. Maybe the others have been disabled.

Settings > Screen > Now Playing > Now Playing Views

Yeah, looked there. On the xp machine, only 3 selections are in that menu. The win 7 machine has all 5 listed.
Interesting... Not a big deal, just more of a curiosity...

Could it be that you have a really old version on the one machine? I'd try reinstalling.

7.5.3 on both machines, reinstalled earlier this evening.
Also fiddled around with varios skin and wallpaper settings, i think it is simply that win 7 handles the animation, and xp doesn't.

Did you just download the version you reinstalled? SqueezePlay is always beta and is built nightly, so you could easily have a very old nightly build that claims to be 7.5.3.

I have the animations on my XP Pro computer.

Give 7.6 a try.
