Missing old reliable LazySearch on 7.6... Any idea when the those pesky work responsibilities will give you time for the important things?

LazySearch and 7.6.0 r32296/32300
I've just started looking at this again. The good news is that the
database stuff is all still working and it's just the display of
results that needs fixing - I think you've discovered this yourself.
I'm looking to see if there's a way to hop into the xmlbrowser mode to
show the results in the same way as I used to push into the 'browsedb'
mode (this mode has now disappeared, hence the plugin never manages to
push into it). If not I should be able to create those browse menus
myself although it'll be a bit more work.
However, I'm on it, but I don't think there'll be anything ready this
week I'm afraid. I've not forgotten it, though.

Now 7.6 is official....
...any further news on a release of LazySearch that works with it?
Thanks.

LazySearch and 7.6.0 r32296/32300
I'm continuing investigation, when I get the time (which is still quite
rare).
I'm currently trying to navigate all the changes to XMLBrowser/GlobalSearch
and the OPML-based menus with a view to try to re-use that when pushing into
search results. If I can't get anywhere soon I'll re-implement my own
browsing modes, but I'd rather not do that if it isn't definitely necessary
- I'll probably give in an post to the dev list soon!
I've not really tested it, but I don't see why pressing PLAY/ADD on search
results doesn't work already (eg search for an album then press PLAY, and
not pressing RIGHT on a search result); I think it's the deeper browsing
that's been broken by the 7.6 changes. Unfortunately I'm not near anything I
can use to test this at the moment, so I could be wrong.

Thanks for the quick response...
I can tell you that pressing "PLAY" if you find an album or a song does indeed work. and plays the album or the song. Come to that, if you find an artist, and press "PLAY", it starts playing songs by that artist, and will presumably go on and play everything if you let it.
BUT if you press "right-arrow" when you find an album, it just goes back to the album - not into the tracks. And if you press "right-arrow" when you find an artist, it just goes back to the artist - not into a list of the albums.
Hope this helps.

Yep - that's what I'd hoped. It's just the browsing into X (ie browse
into artist and see albums, browse into album and see tracks) that's
duff.
At least it can still just about be used for basic searching-playing
use cases while I sort my act out, though!

i've got the same problem, i've noticed that my lazysearch is trying to search through custom browse (its little icon shows up on my sb3). Is that just a coincidence (in my case) or could that also be affecting the use of the search?
also, my song lazysearch allows me to right arrow, but album doesn't (custom browse logo again)

Me too
I just wanted to chime in as another user who has been using (and loving) LazySearch for years and is now missing it's functionality. Thank you for all of your work on this, Stuart. I look forward to using it again when you find the time. Cheers.
