I almost never use the Touch's built-in server (TinySBS) and generally prefer to have it off/stopped. But somehow it keeps getting restarted, so I have to stop it again. How can I get to stay off?
I have an SD card inserted for displaying photos via the Image Viewer, and nothing connected to the USB port. If I have to keep the SD slot empty to keep TinySBS from starting then so be it, but there really should be a way to make it honor turning TinySBS off. This has been occurring regularly with various versions of SBS and Touch firmware, and to date I haven't identified any particular action or event that triggers TinySBS to start. Any ideas?

That is odd indeed. I too use an SD card in my Touch and I cannot recall a single instance where TinySC just booted up on it's own.
The only time TinySC self starts is if I turn off Touch when TinySC was running before I turned Touch off, which is to be expected.
Maybe try turning off the picture viewer? Maybe the viewer thinks you are trying to display an image so it self boots? Dunno.
How often does this happen?
